Bomb Arena is a free browser take on the classic bomb-and-blast arena genre popularized by Bomberman in the 1980s. You move through a 13×11 grid dropping bombs that explode a few seconds later in a cross-shaped blast — destroying wooden crates, revealing power-ups, and taking out any enemy caught in the flame. Touch an enemy directly or stand in a blast and it costs you a life.

Three power-ups can appear when a crate is destroyed: an extra bomb you can have active at once, a longer blast radius, and faster movement. Enemies wander the arena hunting you down and, from wave two onward, plant bombs of their own — so a blast you triggered can chain into a bomb they placed, and vice versa.

Clearing every enemy pays a wave-clear bonus and generates a fresh arena with more enemies than the last, endlessly, with three lives per run and a 1-5 star rating on your final score. Sound effects are synthesized live with the Web Audio API, and Bomb Arena plugs into the same global leaderboard used across this site's benchmarks and games — enter a nickname after a run and your score is ranked against every other player's, not just stored locally on your device.
