FALLING BLOCKS

Rotate and stack seven falling block shapes, clear full rows before the stack reaches the top, and level up as you clear more lines.

Falling Blocks is a free take on the classic falling-block puzzle genre: seven piece shapes — a long bar, a square, and four- and three-cell L, J, S, Z and T shapes — drop one at a time into a 10-wide, 20-tall well. Rotating and sliding pieces to complete a full row clears it and scores points; leaving gaps just stacks the well higher until it tops out.

Clearing multiple rows in a single drop is worth disproportionately more than clearing them one at a time — a four-line clear scores 8x a single line, not 4x — so the game rewards setting up bigger clears over panicking and dropping pieces flat. Every 10 lines you clear, the level goes up, the fall speed increases, and a quick rating pop-up shows how you're doing.

When the stack finally tops out, your final score converts into a star rating from 1 to 5 — the same rating idea used elsewhere on this site — so you can compare runs at a glance instead of just comparing raw numbers. Rendered entirely with Three.js, with the whole board tilted slightly for a genuine 3D view rather than a flat 2D grid.

Falling Blocks plugs into the same global leaderboard system used across this site's benchmarks — enter a nickname after a run and your score is ranked against every other player's, not just stored locally on your device.
