Pac Maze is a free browser take on the classic maze-chase arcade genre, rendered in 3D with Three.js. You steer a yellow muncher through corridors, eating pellets for 10 points each, while four ghosts with different personalities try to corner you: one chases you directly, one aims ahead of your path, one flanks, and one wanders in and out of the hunt.

Unlike the arcade original, there is no fixed board to memorize — every single level is a brand-new maze, generated randomly and then checked so that every corridor is reachable and there are no dead ends. Side tunnels teleport you from one edge to the other, four power pellets let you eat frightened ghosts for 200-400-800-1600 point combos, and bonus fruit appears mid-level for extra points.

Clearing a maze pays a level bonus and generates a fresh, faster one with a new wall color. You start with three lives; when the last one is gone, your final score converts into a 1-5 star rating — the same rating idea used across this site. All sound effects are synthesized live with the Web Audio API, and the game plays with a keyboard on desktop or swipes and an on-screen D-pad on phones.

Pac Maze plugs into the same global leaderboard system used across this site's benchmarks — enter a nickname after a run and your score is ranked against every other player's, not just stored locally on your device.
