This is an interactive 3D political map covering 177 countries and territories, built from Natural Earth public-domain boundary data. Each country is rendered as an extruded polygon on the globe and colored individually, in the style of a classic political wall map, rather than by terrain or satellite imagery.
Click any country — on the globe itself or in the search list — to highlight its borders in gold, fly the camera to its location, and display its name in both English and Russian. The camera automatically stops its slow rotation as soon as you start interacting, and the search box filters the list by either language.
The globe is rendered with globe.gl (built on Three.js and WebGL) directly in your browser — no server round-trip, no tracking, nothing uploaded. Country borders reflect Natural Earth's 1:110m simplification, which is standard for web-scale globes; a few disputed or de facto territories may be simplified or grouped differently than in other sources.
