Dead Pixel & Screen Color Test
Inspect pixels, color uniformity and gradients by eye in a full-screen view.
Choose a pattern
Lower brightness to a comfortable level. Patterns change only when you choose them—there is no automatic flashing. Inspect the screen from a normal viewing distance.
In full screen: use ←/→ or swipe to change patterns, tap left/right to browse, tap the center or press H to hide controls, and Esc to exit.
This visual check cannot automatically diagnose your display. A one-CSS-pixel grid may span multiple physical pixels because of browser zoom and display scaling.
About dead pixels and screen colors
A display is made of many pixels that create images by changing color and brightness. A dead pixel may stay dark, while a stuck pixel can remain bright or show the wrong color. Solid backgrounds make these small defects easier to notice.
Color uniformity describes whether a screen looks consistent from edge to edge. Gradients can reveal visible steps or banding, while a grid helps you inspect sharpness and alignment. Room lighting, viewing angle and display settings can change what you see.
A visual screen test is a practical first check before seeking warranty advice or professional service. It cannot prove that a panel is fault-free or fix a damaged pixel. Avoid leaving high-brightness static patterns on an OLED display for long periods.
