Gamepad Tester & Stick Drift Check

Test every controller button, analog trigger pressure and joystick movement — then check whether your sticks drift while untouched.

Connect a controller

Connect your controller, then press any button. Browsers may only detect it after the first press.

Works with standard and custom controllers, including PlayStation 4/5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Steam and many third-party gamepads. The browser exposes controls it can read; some devices or browsers may hide vendor-specific features.

All buttons & pressure

The value is shown as a percentage for every button. Analog triggers report gradual pressure; digital buttons usually switch between 0% and 100%.

Stick drift test

Set the controller on a flat surface and do not touch either stick during the test. We sample the stick axes and estimate resting offset; this is a browser-side check, not a hardware calibration.

About gamepad testing

Game controllers translate button presses and stick movement into digital inputs used by games. Modern gamepads add analog triggers, clickable sticks, directional pads and vibration, and their layouts vary between consoles and manufacturers.

A browser-based controller test can help identify an unresponsive button, inconsistent trigger pressure or an analog stick that reports movement while resting. Drift may make a character or camera move without input, but a web check cannot replace a full hardware inspection.

Connect the controller directly or through its usual wireless adapter, then press a button to wake it. For a useful drift reading, leave the gamepad untouched on a stable surface throughout the sample. Browser support and the controls exposed by each device can vary.
